DIY SHIPLAP WALL DONE WITH SHARPIE

This was probably the most rewarding project for me personally. I have always wanted a beautiful shiplap wall. I love the old farm feel. The best part is, it's budget friendly and it's not permanent. With styles always changing, this is the way to go!!! Just a few cheap supplies and a little bit of time to get a really expensive-looking end product.

THIS PROJECT WORKS BEST WITH TWO

Materials:

  1. Yard Stick

  2. Laser level (Helps with old , bowed out walls.)

  3. Level

  4. Pencil

  5. King Sharpie Marker

How To:

  1. Take the pencil and DOT 7" apart down the wall

  2. Pencil trace you lines

  3. Use Marker to trace over pencil lines with a yard stick and level

Dot 7” apart down the wall. I did this about 12 times, as this will be the dot that will guide where your lines will go. This gave me 13 planks.

The laser is extra help, but is not necessarily needed. It will help with marking and drawing straighter lines across. It is a great guide that is highly recommended.

Begin making lines where you placed the dot. Then place the yard stick under marker to continue your lines across the space. Tip: Put the ruler under the marker line...This will help attach your lines.
